ACKER MERRALL & CONDIT TO HOST FINE AND RARE WINE AUCTION
IN THE HAMPTONS ON JUNE 25th

Exclusive Event to Feature Pre-Auction Tasting of World’s Most Extraordinary Wines and a
Bacchanalian BYOB with wines from the Hampton’s finest collectors

New York, NY – June 2, 2011 – Acker Merrall & Condit, the world’s premier wine auction house and America’s oldest fine wine merchant, announced today it will host its last auction of the spring season on Saturday, June 25th in the Hamptons at the Sagaponack Sculpture Field.

The auction will feature some of the most extraordinary wines in the world including the greatest of vintages from renowned producers such as Chateau Petrus, Domaine de la Romanee Conti, Chateau Lafite Rothschild and much more. Almost 750 lots and over $3 million of the world’s finest and rarest wines will be available. The event begins with a complimentary pre-auction tasting at 4:30 p.m. for pre-registered bidders, which will showcase some of the world’s greatest wines, followed by the auction at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at approximately 7:00pm.

As always, bidders are encouraged to bring their own bottles from their cellars to supplement the numerous world-class wines Acker will pour throughout the evening. “It would be no surprise if we consumed fifteen to twenty cases of wine before the night’s end! This would not even include the great bottles our clients will bring,” said John Kapon, CEO of Acker Merrall & Condit. “Bringing together exceptional wines, great food, and a location that epitomizes the luxury lifestyle, this is sure to be the greatest wine party of the summer in the Hamptons.”
